Ableton Live Minimal Edition

No, I didn’t come up with this, but I’m hungover and today it’s hilarious.

The Bad Times Button

Let’s hope I don’t have to use it tomorrow night! Come out and get your hands up and there will be no need.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, on a totally unrelated note:

“Teacher…there are things that I don’t want to learn…and the last one I had…made me cry...So I don’t want to learn to hold you/touch you/think that you’re mine…because it ain’t no joy for an uptown boy whose teacher has told him goodbye…”

Thanks, Kate! It’s been a damn long time! That shit still slays me. And if it don’t slay y’all it’s only cos yer hearts are rotten pieces of putrid, festering carrion.

See you soon!

Know how that feels?

Saturday night (August 21) it’s ON! Summer’s not going to last forever, kids. This is the latest installment of the Brooklyn Pirates’ incredible East Williamsburg parties.  Last time we had a blast, met some great people, sustained some heroic battle wounds and danced til 5am. This time we have no reason to expect any less. This is also the penultimate show for The Unstoppable Death Machines before they take off on their national tour! See them here, see them at the Mercury Lounge on August 26. See me all over town, fighting crime, heartbreak and listlessness with dirty kicks and detuned saws.

322 Bogart St
$10
Starts at 10pm

Look At My Mic

Disco-ball spandex pop shield. It’s a hell of a lot better than the Bad Brains shirt over a coathanger.

For Al Sheppard

I’m reposting this from Sunny D’s Bandcamp page. It’s a fucking heartbreaking story, and the spin on the media coverage is sickening. This driver is totally getting a free pass. I’m watching the news clips and it’s making me furious…

This track is about our friend Al, who was run down and killed in a road rage incident on August 31, 2009. He was killed by the former Attorney General of our province (like a state) and the bastard had the charges dropped almost a year later. Many from Toronto’s – and the world’s – cycling community were absolutely incensed that there were no consequences to taking my friend’s life. Anyone who knows, knows. This is our take on it.

Please take the time to get to know what happened to our friend Al, or Darcy Allan Sheppard as he’s known in the media:
