Josie’s Album Release Party

Holy crap, it’s done! We’ve been working on this album for what has felt like forever (but has really been just about a year) and we’re excited to get it out there! We only played our first show in May of last year. Which is weird because it seems crazy-forever-ago. (Year of the rocket ride indeed.) You’ll recognize some of the tracks because we’ve been playing them at our shows. Some of it is stuff we haven’t performed yet. There are a couple of remixes. We’ve got some new tricks, we have a new practice space, we have an awesome show booked at Cameo Gallery for Saturday, January 26th and we would love to see you come out and shake tail! We’re excited about the other bands on the bill as well. Let’s start 2013 right! The album will be up pretty much everywhere by the day of the show. We’re not doing CDs, because it’s 2013 and no one wants a CD. If you want a CD, paypal us a dollar for shipping and we’ll burn you one. Seriously.

CHERYL: My Super-Sweet Sweatsuit Semi-Formal

This Saturday the 29th I will be in the awesome position of spinning some rad loud tunes at THIS PARTY.

CHERYL throws one of the best dance parties around. This month is certain to be no exception. It’s five bucks before midnight ($10 after), it’s at a great venue (the Bell House) and the people are amazing. Get suited up and come break a sweat with us!

Somebody, somewhere along the line, seems to have have discovered some kind of Beat Repeat or one of those ubiquitous sample mangler plugins and appears to be luvvvving it. Ah, collaboration. Still, I guess it works.

Hey, I sort of forgot about this but I just realized that it might actually be something of a feather in my cap so here we go. I did the music for IC Motion’s 2012 reel! If you’re into a certain flavor of over-the-top cinematic dubstep, you’ll hear it and say “neat.”

Time’s Up Halloween Party

Ohhhhhh yeah, it’s that time again! Time’s Up throws two awesome parties every year: Halloween and Valentine’s Day. Can’t find a bad thing to say about these events…always awesome people, a packed dancefloor and a real healthy lose-your-shit vibe. Also, I’m bringing my own sound system (whomp) and will be doing a midnight(ish) performance holding down my role as the beats ‘n yelling half of No Way Josie!
